Deloitte Sweden will present awards for Sweden Technology Fast 50 and Rising Stars on Tuesday, November 6th. These are awards for Swedish technology companies, and Deloitte have organised the event since 2003. Scila is nominated in the category Rising Stars.
To be nominated companies have to develop proprietary technology and technology related products. A large part of the company’s resources should be allocated to Research and Development. A “Rising Star” has to have a history of at least 3 years, but less than 5, and a turnover of more than € 50 000 the first year.
“The companies ranked in Deloitte Sweden Technology Fast 50 and Rising Stars are all of great importance for the Swedish economy, their technology will have a significant impact on how we all live our lives in the future. That is why we want to acknowledge their achievements, this year for the 10thyear in a row” says Erik Olin, partner in charge of the Deloitte Fast 50 program.
“We are honoured to be nominated as a Rising Star by Deloitte Sweden” says Scila’s Executive Chairman, Lars-Ivar Sellberg. “It is a description that we can identify ourselves with, since Scila has quickly become a dominant player in our niche Trading Surveillance in financial markets”.
Scila was founded in 2008 and among the customers are Deutsche Börse Group, London Stock Exchange Group, Oslo Børs, Burgundy, Qatar Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Recently Scila presented a new product, Scila Compliance, targeted at Investment Banks and Brokers, helping the industry to meet the increased regulatory pressure from new legislation such as MiFID II, Dodd Frank and ESMA Guidelines.
“This is a very interesting market that we are entering, and we are happy to provide smarter surveillance technology also to banks and brokers with the Scila Compliance product”, says Mats Wilhelmsson, Scila’s Chief Operating Officer. “We really appreciate to be considered by Deloitte Sweden to be among the 25 Rising Stars in the Swedish technology industry.
